What do you love about your job?
The people I work with, my nurses and advocating for them.
What makes you unique as a recruiter?
I laugh with my nurses, truly advocate for them. I don’t just find them the travel contract, I also make sure that I am with them through every step of the process. I’m their buffer and liaison. I’m in their corner!
What’s your favorite traveler story?
One of my favorite traveler stories is a nurse of mine ended up sending me a care package because I was joking with her and her husband about giving me grey hairs. So they sent me a care package with root color over, and everything that she thought a recruiter could use with little notes on each item. We had a really good laugh about it. I have stories about all my nurses though. They all send pictures of their adventures.
Do you have any advice for travelers?
Don’t be afraid to ask questions. Don’t assume that every recruiter is the same.
How do you spend your time when you’re not recruiting?
When I’m not recruiting? That’s funny, I’m a workaholic. I spend my time with my daughter and boyfriend. I also enjoy spending time with friends or going to Maryland to visit my son and his girlfriend. Even taking random road trips just because.
