Why or how did you get into nursing?

I believe growing up as an army brat, it’s in my blood to always seek new adventures. My first big assignment I spent the fall and winter in New England. If you’ve never been, it is a must! The fall foliage is absolutely breathtaking and some of the sights around MA, NH, ME will just put you in awe. My favorite thing to do while I was there was to seek out every lighthouse I could get to. I was successful and found 8 of them during my time there. 🙂 Fast forward 8 months, I’m on my way to my 3rd assignment in California and I must say I may fall in love and never want to leave.

Do you have any advice for future nurses?

Find a good recruiter whom you trust and have a good relationship with. My recruiter has been a strong advocate for me and has helped me get some pretty amazing contracts!

Favorite travel location and why?

California and Hawaii – I’m a coastal gal at heart. I have puppies, so it’s really nice to be able to come home from work and bring them to the beach and enjoy the weather. I love traveling new places, and I’ve had some wonderful opportunities in these states. My experience as a nurse and traveler has been nothing but a positive one.

What are some of your hobbies?

I love to be outdoors, whether it’s finding new hiking trails, wine tasting, trying to improve my eye for photography, meeting new people and eating at the local eateries, or just enjoy some me time on the beach with my pups. I enjoy being able to travel with my friends. Along many friends, I’ve been able to do Assignments with Renee and Molly. We have enjoyed hikes, coastal journeys, and wine tastings together.
